SK hynix’s first PCIe Gen4 NVMe Client SSDs
Our PC801 and BC901 client SSDs are built with the latest V7 (176-layer) 4D NAND flash with up to 1.6Gbps I/O support, combined with a new-generation controller and firmware to deliver higher capacity, throughput, endurance, and power efficiency. As PC mobility becomes increasingly important, both are designed as thin and lightweight drives that pack capacities from 256GB to 2TB in M.2 form factors (from 2230 to 2280).
Industry-leading PCIe Gen4 client SSD performance
As our first client SSDs on the PCIe Gen4 NVMe interface, PC801 and BC901 deliver significant performance advantage including 2x bandwidth gains over PCIe Gen3, up to 7,000MB/s in sequential read speeds, as well as faster writes with the hyperwrite (SLC buffer) feature.
PC801: Up to 2TB of Capacity for Performance-intensive Content
Mindful of today’s intensive PC workloads from heavy FPS gaming to VR and 4K+ image processing, PC801 provides storage options from 256GB to 2TB (BC901 up to 1TB) in a compact M.2 form factor to fulfill user demand for performance and spacious capacities.
Low-latency, low-power
Capable of maximum PCIe Gen4 speeds (7,000MB/s), PC801 and BC901 can complete the same operation as on Gen3 (3,500MB/s) in just half the time, reducing the time computing resources are drawn as well as power consumed. BC901 is further specialized as a low-power drive that draws < 3mW during L1.2 Sleep in line with system Modern Standby requirements.
